DAVIES
Ethan rejoined the LGC team after previously working at the Centre and completing his PGA Qualification here, returning to take on the coaching role following Steve Holden’s retirement.
As an amateur, Ethan represented the University of Liverpool golf team and captained the Royal Birkdale Scratch Team. One of his standout achievements came at the prestigious Bill Renison Liverpool Colts Trophy at West Lancashire Golf Club, where he claimed the individual gross title with an outstanding round of 69.
Before turning professional, Ethan gained valuable experience caddying at the highest levels of the game. He worked at Final Open Qualifying for Lucas Herbert, the Walker Cup for Akshay Bhatia, and on the DP World Tour for Matthew Baldwin, providing him with a unique insight into elite-level golf.
After qualifying as a PGA Professional, Ethan joined Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club as Assistant Professional before securing the role of Head Professional at Ormskirk Golf Club.
Alongside his coaching career, Ethan has competed in numerous PGA events. His most notable playing achievement came when he qualified for the Coca-Cola PGA Assistants’ Championship, where he made the cut and finished in an impressive 10th place.
Over the past five years, Ethan has continually developed his coaching expertise through PGA Continuing Professional Development (CPD) qualifications, seminars, and industry training. His commitment to professional development was recognised in 2024 when he was awarded Accredited PGA Professional status. He remains dedicated to staying at the forefront of modern coaching by embracing the latest techniques and technology.
Passionate about helping golfers of all abilities improve their game, Ethan combines a personalised coaching approach with industry-leading technology, including video analysis, launch monitor data, and HackMotion where appropriate. By blending technical analysis with clear, practical coaching, he helps golfers better understand their swing tendencies and develop lasting improvements on the course.

Failed appointments and late cancellations deny other pupils valuable appointment times and the professional incurring teaching bay charges. We kindly request you give 24 hours notice for cancellations or the lesson may be chargeable or deducted from your current course or voucher.
